An extremely aerodynamic frame, low drag components and a Shimano electronic groupset ensure that the Oltre Ultegra Di2 Disc Road Bike from Bianchi is an exciting and rewarding ride.

The carbon frame has the samelow-drag tube shapes as the other Oltres, with both the seat tube and downtube sculpted to allow the wheels to nestle in as close as possible for better airflow. Dropped seatstays and aero fork further reduce wind resistance whilst the Velomann stem, seatpost and handlebar present as small a profile as possible to the wind.

The wheels are also from Velomann, with 50mm deep carbon rims to balance aerodynamics with low weight and easy handling. They are tubeless-ready too, so can be easily converted to use without inner tubes.

The bike is kitted out with 12-speed Ultegra Di2, Shimano’s second-tier, electronic groupset. It gives virtually nothing away to the range-topping Dura-Ace version in terms of performance and offers near-instant shifting and impressive braking control. The system is part wireless, which means that it can be connected to a GPS head unit or a smartphone via Bluetooth, giving access to more information during and after a ride as well as some function customisation.
